#ore no kao#early office day for some quick knee physical therapy#then a quick break watching doggos stroll by before walking to the gym#also i always get nostalgic at madison square park bc i kissed my first two guys here (first in like 2014)#and i could certainly use that third time charm sometime#not too bad a day for being on 4.5hrs of sleep#also the pain of finding a spin class that fits my Monday-office-day/remote-rest-of-week schedule among the Crunch gyms closer to me 😩#i miss the best one i've had on Tuesdays at 7 at my home gym but that's too far away from me to make after a 6pm clockout sigh#knee needs to get it together so i can jog again#like the one shirtless jogger i've already seen in a sign that spring is truly coming#also doechii's 'anxiety' is making points as a gotye rework--thanks office elevator news screen

ohhh you guys are reading bsd without suspending your disbelief. you guys are expecting to get a clear cut perfectly understandable scientific explanation for something that can't actually happen in the real world, and then you're upset when you don't get it. you're forgetting that bsd has always had fantastical elements in it and it is not meant to be a 1:1 replication of Our World. you don't have to know and understand every single scientific concept being talked about in the recent chapters; you just have to be able to get the general idea and realize that this isn't the real world, so it won't make sense by the standards of our reality. then maybe you can stop whining about how nonsensical all the dialogue is and start appreciating the story itself
#ive been so baffled by this bc. like. i took one (1) basic physics class in high school 7 years ago that i was failing for most of the year#but ive been able to keep up well enough with what's going on in bsd to like. understand the science theory on a base-level i feel#but i just saw a post and something clicked. people expect this to make Real Life Sense#guys tripolar singularities created by magical abilities ARENT REAL#you HAVE to suspend your disbelief and remember bsd was never realistic fiction#it's the same with jjk tbh#so many of the cursed techniques are CONFUSING if you look only at the specific details#but if you look at. like. how kirara's ability affects the events of the plot when she uses it#you can get at least a base level understanding for how it works#while knowing nothing about the scientific explanation for magnetic pulls or whatever#like maybe asagiri is offering a genuine plausible theory for what might happen IF abilities were real in our world. i dont know#i dont have enough knowledge in theoretical physics or whatever for that#what i CAN do is suspend my disbelief and not expect the explanations to make perfect sense to me#then look at the outcomes in order to work backwards and understand some of the dialogue explanation#'dazai wouldve lost me at 'youre still at the airport'' well first of all you're not even trying#and second of all. of course. because that's not really possible in our world. but it IS in atsushi's.#(and third. that's not dazai. that's dazai's voice in atsushi's head. but i digress)#hello grace here

me: MY HAIRLINE IS RECEDING OH NO OH FUCK
also me: full time student (worth noting i wrote stupid here at first without realizing), 20-30 hours in customer service every week, teaching myself 3/4 classes, teaching myself advanced algebra with a teacher (basically just a proctor) who shuts down any/all asks for help, juggling college financial woes, navigating dying relationships/people abandoning and/or attacking me bc i don't have time for things i used to anymore, none of my hobbies are making me happy when and if i have time for them,, i have no time for myself, i'm on my second all-nighter this week, i'm perpetually exhausted in a way sleep isn't fixing, my body aches because i'm so tired, and i'm barely able to stay asleep when i do get the chance bc the anxiety wakes me up

#i'm so stressed man#sehtoast rambles#sehtoast vents? fuck if i know#i just feel like i can't get ahead#i used to be able to get all my shit done by friday and have the bulk of the weekend to myself#but that's not doable at all this term#i just had a whole ass mental breakdown over fucking homework#like i'm almost grateful T made it near impossible for me to cry bc like#i was going to have a whole sobbing crying breakdown and at least i only had to feel the mental and physical anguish of it instead#it's 3am and i just made coffee so i can do the rest of my work#luckily the last two are super little in comparison but#i can't keep doing 30 pages of notes with 10 pages of homework and a 40 question 'quiz' for math#on top of making like 7 excel spreadsheets a week#not including the 50 page readings for management plus the 50 questions that follow and the writing assignments#i'm so glad my ids class is easy. dr s is my personal jesus christ for being so gentle with her students#idk i'm just... really not doin well rn#at all#idk if anyone read this far in#if you did ily and appreciate you

#personal#this is about me dropping physics lol I cannot do that anymore#my teachers awful and everything I’ve talked to him about his teaching he’s just ignored me#and I do not have the time to do physics without a good teacher#but I did take extra stuff specifically for this situation#so I can drop it and i’ll be fine#so now I’m taking the normal 6 classes instead of 7#(ignoring the 2 classes this school forces us to take since it’s a religious school. IRE and Arabic. which I fail anyways)#but my recent exams went well I got 90s for 6 of my classes and then a 50 in physics and IRE.#and a 22 in arabic. #ok ok so idk how american or other schools in general function#but here we grade tests w numbers not letters#1 is f. 5 is b. and everything else ks obvious#thats all you need to know#so BASICALLY#my FUCKING TEACHER IS BLIND AS HELL#because i couldve gotten a FIVE but NOOO she said i made a mistake when i DIDNT ????#yoo tired to explain. anyway SHDUXNXUDJDJC. I KNOW I DIDNT MAKE A MISTAKE.#anyway that test was the second part of the bigger test.#im not sure kf others have it but basically one class youll have a fifteen minute test and get graded for it#and then rhe next class youll get another fifteen minute test#and then ull mix the grades u received from those tests#so basically in the forst fifteen minute test i got a 2 dong ask me why#in the second fifteen minute test i got a FOUR.. WHEN I SHOULDVE GOTTEN A FIVE IF MY TEACHER KNEW HOW TO READ#and basically a two and a four make a three#bc you basically add the grades together and then divide the final number by the amount of grades#ao for example i got threw 3s in physics (EXAMPLE). 3 + 3 + 3 is 9. and then 9 divided by 3 (the amt of grades) is 3.#ANYWAY#soooo#if i were to get the grade I deserved from the second part of the test i would get a 5. 5+2 is 7 and 7 divided by 2 is 3.5 which would be 4#unless the teacher decided to be a real dick.#i couldve gotten a four.#whatever#why am i so upset abt this#sorry if i overexplained the obvious im just not sure if the same grading system from here applies to elsewhere

in a better timeline i am still a cheerleader and i run either cross country or track, which ever aligns better w my schedule, and i take apush and i never dropped geometry in 8th grade and i stayed in choir and i'm so much happier
#i couldn't physically do this#specifically the choir one#since i take two world languages#but in this better timeline where i have less regrets my school has 7 class periods#and i joined trio freshman year#cloud just says shit#and my dad isnt dissapointed in me#and i take no gym classes#and i consistently work out
